Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Family Board ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Family Board is a family organisation platform that displays information — including calendars, goals, and weather — on kiosk-style devices around the home. The Service is provided via a web-based admin application and associated device software.

3. Account responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial. No payment is required during the trial period. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue using the Service.

5. Subscription and billing

• The Service is billed monthly at £8 GBP per month.
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
• All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until that date.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service.
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes third-party rights.

8. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect access. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

9. Intellectual property

All content, software, and trademarks associated with Family Board are owned by or licensed to us. You retain ownership of any content you provide (family names, calendar events, etc.) and grant us a limited licence to store and display it solely to provide the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family Board shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behaviour. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
